Not your parent’s wedding video…

Most people don’t realize how far wedding videos have come over the years. The technology and editing style has evolved into a beautiful piece of art that you actually want to watch again and again. Wedding videos, like photos have the ability to preserve the memories from your wedding day. However, my favorite thing about video is that you can see and hear the emotion in your voice as you recite your vows, or the beautiful toast from your father about how he is so very proud of this moment for you. The day goes by so fast, and there are beautiful memories that you may miss out on, or may not even remember. Having a wedding video will mean that you can see and relive the day. My husband explained it best when he told me that a picture is worth a thousand words…but video is worth a thousand pictures.

One of my favorite videographers Elysium Productions, is proof of how wedding videos have changed. I am absolutely in love with their artistic, movie style way of editing. If you haven’t had a chance to see their work, take a look at their demo reel below. You can also visit their blog to see video highlights from their recent weddings. Elysium also started a sister company called Luvbug Films which caters to couples that want a great video, but may not have the budget for Elysium.

So if you are scarred by wedding videos of the past; make sure to take a look at how cutting edge videos have become. Say goodbye to cheesy 80′s videos, and hello to movie style productions of your wedding day!

James - Videos have indeed come along way. Even though ours is still in the works, it will be nice to see those moments again. Not only can you re-live those moments, but with the quality of new technology, you will see it as if you went back in time.
