So here I am at Gate A26 in the DFW airport waiting to board my plane to Birmingham, AL. As you may remember from my top 4 things post, my grandma and I used to go to Alabama every summer to visit family. It feels so great to be making this trip since I haven’t been back since my grandma eventually moved to Alabama in 2001. This will be James’s first trip there, so I am excited for him to see my childhood summer spot and to meet all the extended family I have out there.
Being a true California girl, I am not sure if I am ready for the muggy, humid weather…well, I don’t know if my hair is ready for it.
But, I am definitely ready to eat my heart out for the 5 days that I will be there. Then James and I will head to New Orleans for 5 days to eat some more…listen to jazz, and just enjoy ourselves. I will be back in the office on Monday, June 2nd. Have a wonderful and safe Memorial weekend everyone!
Can’t wait to stay at the W New Orleans…the W is our fave hotel chain!
