I heart shoes!

I think it’s so awesome when a bride’s shoes have a little flair to them. Just because they are under your dress, don’t underestimate the power your shoes can have. Be it jeweled or a fun color…it just adds that touch of personality to the bridal ensemble. They can even inspire your entire vision for your wedding.

Get down with the Crew!

I am so in love with the fun style that J.Crew has for their wedding collections. Their pieces are perfect for a laid-back California beach wedding or for a destination wedding. Below I have created an inspiration board with their “casual chic” style!

Do you know the way to San Jose?

I am a huge fan of including wedding map inserts in your invitations. So of course I am absolutely in LOVE with these creations by Laura Hooper Calligraphy. She doesn’t just create maps, they are beautiful pieces of art. She recently started offering the option to turn your map into a souvenir tote bag. What a super cute gift idea for yourself and family. Check out her blog for more inspiring ideas!

Nixon Library

On Sunday, I headed over to Yorba Linda to work on Jennifer and Kevin’s wedding at the Nixon Library. Once I receive the photos from their wedding…I will blog about all the details from their beautiful Father’s Day wedding. In the meantime, I will say that the catering staff over at the Anaheim White House was fabulous! Their presentation was not only spectacular, but the food was absolutely amazing. Amine and Ana, you guys are the best!

With it’s beautiful reflecting pool as your ceremony backdrop and your reception in their ballroom (a replica of the White House’s East Room), the Nixon Library offers a unique and historic location for a wedding. Below are some photos from their website.

Jan & Chris – Rancho Las Lomas

I opened my mail Saturday and jumped for joy at the package that awaited me! Brian Crane sent me the images from Jan and Chris’s wedding that we worked on recently. I have been dying to see their lovely photos! If you remember from my day-after Christmas post, Jan and Chris are my wonderful couple that were planning their wedding from Boston.

Jan and Chris, thank you both for allowing me to bring your beautiful dream of a wedding together. Jan, I will definitely miss our chats about flowers and color selections. (I especially loved your cute little powerpoint documents of your wedding vision!) I feel honored to have met you and your families, and to have been a part of your special day. I wish you both all the love and happiness that this world has to offer!

Now…onto these amazing photos!
