Photo Friday!

How fabulously romantic is the lighting in this image by KT Merry Photography?! I also love how it looks as if they are on the steps of a building in Rome. Definitely a wedding photo that you would want to have displayed as art in your home!

Photo Friday!

James and I had a blast visiting my family last week, however traveling out of town always means a very busy week for me leading up to the vacation, and also when we return home. :-) I do have some really great stuff in the works, that I can’t wait to share with you!

In the meantime, here is some Photo Friday fabulousness featuring Sean Flanigan Photography!

Photo Friday!

I am out until Monday visiting my family and partying it up! Wooohoo!

In honor of good times and smiles…I love this photo courtesy of Ashley Brockinton Photography!

Photo Friday!

Next weekend we are driving up to Northern CA to my mommy’s house. My grandma will be there visiting from Alabama. With the busy wedding season, it will be the only time during her trip when I will be able to spend time with her.

So what are we doing??? Both James and me, my mom, brothers, cousin, along with his mom, sister and nephew…are taking grandma in a limo to Chukchansi Casino and having a fun-filled, party weekend. I’m not much of a gambler (unless you count nickel and penny slot machines) but I can’t wait to hit the spa. Boyz II Men will also be performing that weekend, so my mom also got James and I tickets to the show. How cool is that? They were my NKOTB when I was growing up!

Since I am feeling so blessed that we both have such fabulous families and that they are really close friends; I wanted to feature another family Photo Friday image!

I was deeply touched by this wedding recently shot by my good friend Brian Khang. There were so many special moments that he caught of the family before the wedding, but this one is my favorite one.

BK…you definitely hit it out of the park with this one!

even if you don't have a sweet tooth…

you would go absolutely delirious when you try one of Melody’s cake pops! This is what I tell my couples when talking about the yummy-delicious-goodness of My Sweet and Saucy.

Oooh…there are no words that can explain the heaven that I felt when I first bit into her white chocolate carrot cake pop. This is coming from a person who hates chocolate and isn’t really much of a sweets person, but when something is THAT GOOD I can’t help but think about it all the time. I am actually drooling on myself as I type this blog. :P

What I love about her desserts for weddings, is that it can be so much more than a pretty wedding cake…so much more than doing trendy cupcakes. You can have a dessert FIESTA! I’m talking cupcakes, key lime pies, meringues, cake pops, monogrammed cookies, chocolate dipped pretzels, cotton candy, and also have a beautiful mini wedding cake to cut into. It’s just paradise on a table!

If you haven’t tried Melody’s fabulousness…don’t worry. She just opened her super cute dessert studio in Long Beach last week. They are also having a Grand Opening Party on Saturday August 16th, so head out there to show your support and try her delicious treats! The address is 6400 Stearns Street Long Beach CA 90815.
