photo friday!

there is something i absolutely adore about the energy in the bridal changing room. the girls are usually buzzing with excitement, laughter, joy, and lots of love! i also just love that my brides tend to have a peaceful aura around them, because it lets me know that they are just really taking the time to sit back and enjoy every moment of the day.

the best part of the changing room is when it’s time to put on the dress. the expression on a bride’s face as she is getting in her gown is priceless. being surrounded by either her closest girlfriends, mom, or both for this really makes for an emotional time. i am just in love with this photo shot by stacey kane, just look how the little guy decided to be a part of the changing room experience. love it!

lovely little sneak peek!

as a follow up to last week’s photo friday, i was super stoked when i saw the images Gabriel Ryan shot over to me from Aaron Dieppa’s wedding.

Barbara and Aaron were referred to me by my good friends Brian & his lovely fiancé Helen. When we first met, I knew it was fate that we were not only to work together to create their beautiful day…but also destined to be great friends! We chatted for hours about travel, food, music, our favorite movies (so excited to find out that aaron is a jean-claude van damme fan too!). When we finally called it a night, Barb jumped up and hugged me, saying that she felt so excited about her wedding plans knowing that we were going to work together!

The love story of barb & aaron is one where I can’t help but to marvel at God’s excellence! He brought these 2 strangers together for a chance meeting halfway across the world, only to have them randomly run into each other again back home in orange county…both just studying in a coffee shop. The love and happiness that they share just emanates from them, and you can’t help but have warm fuzzies when you are around them.

it was an absolute honor to work with them on creating a wedding that was a beautiful representation of their love story. during the planning we became great friends, which of course made the wedding day much more special to be a part of! (i definitely had to fight back the tears watching barb walk down the aisle!)

now…here comes the point where I become a big tease. You are going to want to read more about barb & aaron’s wedding and see all their amazing photos and details. but, you have to hang tight for their wedding to be published in utterly engaged! trust me…it will be well worth the wait!

I also have to give major props to the fabulous “dream team” that helped make the wedding special for barb & aaron!

photo friday!

excited about my first photo friday on the new blog!

so with that excitement, i decided to share the work of aaron dieppa. i was honored to be his wedding planner a couple weeks ago, and their wedding was too amazing to even describe. i will have a sneak peek for you soon!

aaron, i hope that you and barbara are having a wonderful time in spain & portugal…can’t wait for us all to go out when you get back!

(yes, i am into “carried away” photos right now!)

out with the old…

and in with the NEW!

as some of you may know, my website re-design is still a work in progress, because my flash development guy (better known as James/my super-cool husband) is very meticulous about creating the “perfect” site design to represent SMW. We had a great look, but then he scratched it because he wants to try something new. So in the meantime, I was itching for a blog that was more me…and like Veruca Salt, I wanted it now!

That’s right folks…I am so overjoyed, ecstatic, and bursting with happiness to welcome you to our brand spankin new blog! I am also super excited that since James has been busy with the other projects, I slipped on my “big-girl” heels and worked on this all by myself.  Feeling so smart now! :)

The old blog will be around for a bit, but you can access all the old posts, as well as fun new stuff here. Also be sure to update your RSS feeds, blog reader, and links accordingly!

So enjoy…and definitely leave some blog-lovin with your thoughts on the new look!
