how i travel…

as james and i are planning for our trip back east for helen and brian’s wedding, i am doing my best to minimize my obsessive compulsive behavior of creating checklist & daily itineraries for this trip. i have promised everyone that i will just jot down a few things i would like to see, and be more…okay, i’ll just say it…flexible!

i mean, vacation is supposed to be about having chill time with your love, right? not running around crazy with a timeline fit for a wedding day schedule! sadly, that is how i usually travel. probably because i am crazy type-a personality and feel that if i don’t plan our trips meticulously, i will somehow forget to see something very important and regret it once we come home. but this time i am trying to be different, so i am quite scared and excited all at the same time!

one thing i love about traveling is taking tons of photos of all the cool sites we get to see. i like to pretend that i am a editorial photographer capturing that perfect shot for a magazine, with the hopes that one day i will print it on canvas as artwork in our home. of course, it just ends up in my iphoto with the rest of my thousands of photos…but one day, that will change too. i may just have to change up my routine and print some out!

but one step at a time…let’s try traveling with out a timeline first!

in the meantime, i will ogle over amazing work like anna williams photography below!

I totally know what you mean about planning your vacations. We do the same thing. Enjoy your trip and remember to relax. Ooh so jealous!

Brian Khang - I’m so proud of you! Trust me, it’s going to be fun either way!

James - Nice post, I’m definitely bookmarking this one. I might have to use the first sentence in the second paragraph next time we travel.
