this collection of images are definitely beauty.art.emotion all in one. when i dreamed of photo friday images to feature…these are the kind of images that would catch my attention. they are the reason that we hire photographers to capture our weddings, because they can catch these soft, tender, quiet moments as well as the ones of fun, laughter, and joyousness! also i love all the featured sweet stories, videos, the surprise proposal, the groom’s letter to his bride on the wedding day. i just love it all!

2009 has been a year for many thanks…but i will share one that means the most to me and my family. i am so very thankful to god for allowing challenges in our lives, to show how strong we are to overcome them.

my name is christina, i am 29, and i am in love the twilight saga…yup no shame over here! no shame that we bought our tickets for last night’s midnight showing a couple months ago. no shame that yesterday i wore my cute little “alice-inspired” outfit with the same velvet cullen family crest necklace she wears in the movie. no shame for waiting outside the theater 3 hours last night with my chair and laptop alongside my hubby, good friend yvett and her brother ryan. no shame that as soon as the movie started i screamed with delight. yup, that’s right….like i said, my name is christina and i love twilight!

in honor of new moon’s release today, i had to showcase this super cool “twilight-inspired” photoshoot shot by pure photography by lindsey tropf. now if you are familiar with the series, it’s not meant to be a replica of the story…but it’s definitely a fun twist!

so today’s beautiful photo comes from a wedding i worked on with christine marie photography. this image captures the emotions of the bride and groom immediately following the ceremony. they have that “glow”…don’t you just love it??!!

First off…I need to wish a very happy happy birthday to my beautiful, loving, supportive, fantastical husband! this is going to be the coolest birthday weekend ever!

last week’s photo friday was a clue to where we are vacationing this weekend…did you guess? james and i are spending the weekend with our friends in the hamptons for columbus day weekend, and then heading out to spend the rest of the week at the W New York (you know we love our W’s!). this will be our first trip to NY…and we can’t wait! We have so many fun activities planned that my itinerary looks more like my wedding day schedules. (including the time-blocks and bullet points) Yes…being a planner carries over to every facet of life for me!

I just adore this beautiful image that Cig Harvey shot for a bridal gown article in New York Weddings Magazine. Not only is this Oscar de la Renta gown absolutely jaw-dropping, it’s very fitting for today’s photo friday our trip and my birthday boy!

there is something i absolutely adore about the energy in the bridal changing room. the girls are usually buzzing with excitement, laughter, joy, and lots of love! i also just love that my brides tend to have a peaceful aura around them, because it lets me know that they are just really taking the time to sit back and enjoy every moment of the day.

the best part of the changing room is when it’s time to put on the dress. the expression on a bride’s face as she is getting in her gown is priceless. being surrounded by either her closest girlfriends, mom, or both for this really makes for an emotional time. i am just in love with this photo shot by stacey kane, just look how the little guy decided to be a part of the changing room experience. love it!

excited about my first photo friday on the new blog!

so with that excitement, i decided to share the work of aaron dieppa. i was honored to be his wedding planner a couple weeks ago, and their wedding was too amazing to even describe. i will have a sneak peek for you soon!
